Thanks to my husband for his hard work, we finished up the coop and the yard and moved 6 girls out today. He even made them an automatic door.

Thanks!!! I do have a quick question for those with Chicken Experience. We live in East Texas and our days have been in the 70's lately with lows in the upper 50's. I think one day this week, it is supposed to get down to 45 at night. Will my girls be ok without a heat in there? They are 6 1/2 to 7 weeks old. We dont have electricity out there yet, so a light is not an option.

They will be fine without heat. 45* isn't that low and your birds should be completely feathered out now so they should be just fine.
