We just brought adult ducks home from a friend and within a week and half lost all but one. We were able to catch the last one that died before it happened and found out it was the duck plague. No vet will give me advice with out seeing the last duck and the only vet that will see him is 4 hours away. Which to me is silly to risk infecting other ducks. Does anyone have any advice on what to do to sanitize the area so it's safe to continue on with duck care in the future? We have a small farm so it would need to be safe for the other animals. Thank you.
