The ever changing wattle color ...????

I have 5 SLWs and a couple love sitting on my lap. Lately I've noticed their wattles start out pink and fleshy and in a couple minutes or less , they'll be the nicest deep red. I always associated pink pale wattles to sickness. We've had a couple sick birds and always had the pale wattles. Anyone else ever see this??? Normal?? Feedback is appreciated.

I dont know the reason for why they do this but almost all of mine do it, so I hope its normal!

well I'm glad someone else has seen this too. My birds act normal and not sick , so hopefully this is normal. Thanks for your feedback. cheers

Just the amount of blood flow to the wattles! In the winter my birds tend to have paler wattles than in the summer, in the summer they tend to be bright red most of the time! The can also change with day/night temp. fluctuations
