THE FEET!

I have some chickens with thise fluffy feet, and I noticed that the feathers on the feet are all messed up! How can I have these guys feet stay pretty like you know.

Genetics also play a role. Birds with 2 feather legged genes (FF just to make this make more sense) will loon nicer than Ff virds because they have more feathers

I love feather-footed breeds and am fortunate in that I live on sandy, well-drained soil. I don't do any different management with my feather-footed chickens than with my others -- plenty of litter in the run and Deep Bedding in the coop -- and their feet are usually fluffy and nice.

If you live in an area with sticky, clay mud, you may have a drainage issue in the run. Fix the drainage and try coarse wood chips, the sort you get from a tree-trimming service.
