The girls are laying

I now have 5 out of 7 laying everyday. The songs they sing when laying sounds like labor pains. I have 2 more to go and all of them will be laying. is it possible to get more than one egg from each hen? I heard or read they will lay up two eggs pr day.

Congratulation! Also some of my hens lay atleast two as far as im aware there is always an insane number of eggs in each nest i guess it just depends on the breed of chook.

I have one (out of three) laying now too! Haven't heard her egg song though as she lays early in the morning. She has given me an egg each morning since she begun laying. I think it's more common to get an egg per day or so per chicken, but I've read posts from people saying their hen had laid multiple eggs once.
