The jumping chicken

Hi everyone! Today I went outside to see my chickens. I have a Mosaic hen about one year old, and whenever I'm holding another chicken or in their run, she always jumps on me. Does anyone know what it means when chickens jump on you?

Mine jump on me, too. A couple do it to say hello, one does it to preen my hair. They all like to see the view from up there!

I would say embrace the love, but watch out for your eyes and any earrings. They will peck your eyes without a second thought (I tell my kid they don't realize humans have such slow reflexes compared to chickens). They can also peck off, steal, and possibly swallow earrings.
