The moon 3/18

    This is the moon shortly after rising... sadly I had to wait for it to clear the buildings [​IMG] ahhh for an unobstructed view.... but I'm happy with the shots I got just the same!

    Taken with a Nikon D5000 focal length 200mm 1/500 f/5.6 ISO 200

    It's a beauty tonight.[​IMG] [​IMG] Many broody hens will appear tomorrow. Gritsar in particular and Goldenluver should check their coops.[​IMG]

    Since I'm in an area boxed in, I wanted to get off some practice shots... get my settings all ready for tomorrow. Think I will head over to the coast and catch it coming up across the ocean... hoping to get some nice shots!

    Thanks you all for the kind words. Baby I really have a low skill level. Got the camera a year ago for Christmas, finally got around to a course last fall and am still trying to apply and remember what to do when! [​IMG] Took me several attempts at the settings to get something other than a white disc! Hopefully last nights trials will make tonights pics a little easier to get!
