I am new to raising chickens and bgan this journey only a short bit ago. I keep a journal of daily activity and changes in my chicks. Every morning I go in and check on them and note any worries or interesting changes. As the weeks have passed I have fallen in love with my ladies (and possibly 1 or 2 gents as well). I never really thought that chickens could be so different in their personalities and boy was I wrong. They are so funny 🤣. My children have also fallen for these little feathered love bugs. I have been blessed to raise all 14 of my babies to 6 weeks with little to no issues. 1 case of bumblefoot several weeks back and a band injury that bit into my fastly growing Golden Comet pullet Ginger. Other than that, with all the poo and dust and feathers and peeps, we are very happy we decided to begin this journey. 100% worth it. The yellow chickie is my Lily..she could turn out to be a Leroy but we love him/her anyway 😍. Here are a few pics of our lovelies and our journey...

Oh, I forgot to say:

:welcome

If you have any questions, just ask. We were all new at one point. The knowledge pool here is wide and deep. :)
I read a lot from on here. I believe that may be a big reason we have been successful to this point honestly. I hope to continue the trend into the future. Thank you to everyone who is willing to post for those of us new to this journey...you have been immeasurably helpful to us new chicken keepers!
