A few weeks ago i decided to go out among our trees and take some pictures of whatever I saw there that interested me [IMG] this is some of what i came up with! I just think theyre too beautiful and somewhat stunning to not share! so, here ya go, and you can post pics of your awesome looking mushrooms too! [IMG]

This one is about 2 in. wide. its really different from what I usually see!

Some more shots of the same one:

    these are more common:

I found some busy ants on this one!

These were probably the coolest; a chicken ate the smaller one but I took pics of the bigger ones progressing growth over only 4 days! it was suprising how much it would change overnight!

I think these look like sea anemonies! they are only 1/4 in. wide too! so cool!

A very dark and smooth 4 in. tall fungus:

One that was so white Id call it a "ghost mushroom" ! [IMG]

This is the top mushroom after about a week from the first pic.:

Another of the same kind on a tree:

Looks like noodles! Found on a tree stump.

Is this fungus, growing ON fungus?! lol
    [IMG][/img]

So nice to find someone with a shared hobby - and I mean the mushrooms/toadstools. I love looking at all the fungi down here, I'll get some pics if I can get the dang camera to work again.

Thank you for posting, lovely pics!

must be either quite wet or humid environment. I have some of those on m land, my hubby decided once to touch one and then rubbed his hand, arm and leg got really swollen and I took him to the hospital, it itched and burnd a the same time and it was so red...the doctor looked at him and without asking what happened said...YOU"VE GOT A FUNGUS INFECTION!! LOL...well the cream helped!!! in case you are wondring he touched the ones that are pink and are on the tree log...FYI: I touched them too and nothing happened to me.
