Due to the largely positive reception of the questions by @MysteryChicken about the Emerald Dragon project I've been looking to write a more detailed post on the project I will begin in the next few years, the Naga Cemani. The Naga Cemani, or "Black Dragon" is my attempt to breed some of the unique traits of other breeds into a malayoid sized bird. This includes the Blue Egg gene of EEs, Fibro, Silkie feathers and polydactyly from a silkie, the weight and frame of a Black Jersey Giant, and the comblessness/Cavernous nostrils of the Breda. This is a tentative list

O Shamo
Fibro Easter Egger
Black Silkie Bantam
Black Jersey Giant
Breda

I have some tentative ideas of the breeding order, but how would you order the breeding and linebreeding to produce this result?

For one thing that maybe an issue, is using a Bantam Silkie, instead of Largefowl. The bantam gene may cause your bird to be on the smaller side. Not super small though.

Do you have access to a Breda?

You can also get the cavernous nostrils with the Duplex (V) comb gene, like in Polish and Houdan and a few others.
So my current plan is breed the O Shamo or other malayoid breed to a fibro easter egger and line breed those. While I'm doing that get a Breda Silkie F2 with the traits I want and then breed that to the Black Jersey Giant Hen. Then I would take one line of the Shamo EE and cross it with the 3 bird cross, and then slowly integrate those traits into the malayoid cross. Is there a better way to do it?

That would probably work.

You may not need the Jersey Giant, depending on what size birds you are able to get from your other crosses.

There are several genes that control size in chickens, and different breeds may have a different combination of those genes. I read of someone once that crossed two bantam breeds and got standard-sized chickens!

I would try to pick the largest birds among your other crosses, and raise some Jersey Giants, and look to see whether the Giants are actually bigger than your crosses before making a final decision on whether to use them.
