The new babies are outside

But now I am not sure if I made to ladder to the roost right. They will come down in the morning but they will not go up at night. How much of an angle can it be at? Or do I just need to put them up at night for a while?

Is it dark in the coop? I just heard someone here say their girls wouldn't go into a dark coop at night. My girls don't go out yet but that makes sense that if you put them in a few times they will eventually learn to go in by themselves at dark, I bet they come around. I don't know what the angles should be for your ladder......good luck!

Ok thanks I will just keep putting them up at night. This is so much better then washing dirty butts

I have a red light in the hen house but they can not see red right?

Sorry, I don't know that either but I would be interested to learn if they can see red too.
