    Baby chicks from Ideal finally arrived Friday morning at 0600. Ordered 20 received 21 healthy fuzz balls.

    Thank you all. The eggs are RIR from my neighbors. After these hatch I have some marans, barnevelders, and welsummer eggs to go in.

    Malia- you aren't originally from Birmingham, are you? I had a childhood friend named Malia that I haven't seen or heard of in decades. I have very fond memories of her.

    What kind of chick is the polka dotted one? It looks like chocolate chips!

    Sorry, I'm not from Birmingham. I'm pretty sure that the chick is a gray silkie though the partidge one's are very similar.
