The new guy here

I have been raising chickens for awhile but newest problem is that several of my hens are are missing most of their back feathers. I think is because we lost 2 roosters so they started jumping on each other A LOT!! I tried some goop that is supposed to cover the skin but the feathers aren't coming back. Also treated for mites even though I don't see any. Now I have a new young rooster and he is fulfillinghis role rather well. I have 8 hens and one rooster.

If you had three roosters with 8 girls and are now down to just one rooster, it's undoubtedly rooster damage that caused the feather loss. The feathers will not come back until they molt.
