The "no chickens in the city" laws in Appleton WI: does anyone have any ideas as to how to convince

There are laws in Appleton WI banning poultry such as chickens and ducks in the city. I really want to change these laws because I really want to raise chickens and ducks in my suburban backyard. There is already a group in Appleton working to change these laws which I plan to join but I read on their website that at the moment they are mostly inactive due to a rough defeat in an argument with the city council. If anyone has any suggestions for changing the council's mind please leave a post on this thread. Thanks.

I am trying to do the same thing in Cedar Park, TX. I discovered two website http://www.chicken-revolution.com/? and http://www.imarkrealty.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Why-Backyard-Chickens-in-Flower-Mound.pdf. The second is a PDF file that is a road map to changing people's mind about chickens. It is very well done. I don't feel the need to add a thing to what the group in Flower Mound did to get their change, and have sent this to the city council as well. Another Cedar Park resident started a petition, one doesn't have to live in Cedar Park to show support so PLEASE sign it and help us get our laws changed. My flock is being collected today due to our not being zoned for chickens.
