Right now I just have a bare dirt outside in the run. Does anyone disagree with putting down really small washed pea gravel 3/8 diameter? Or is this a bad idea and might have an effect on there feet later on down the road. I'm just trying to think of a more cleaner atmospere for them outside and would be easy to clean by sparying down with water hose every couple days if the rain hasn't already done so. Looking for suggestions or you can just say dirt.

I have put down a layer of organic peet moss and redwood chips on top of that, they seem to love it . My run is totally covered by a metal roof . I am hoping to be able to rake it out and add more chips and peet moss as needed.

I have about 6 inches of sand in mone and they love to bathe in it.
I just rack it and pull out the big poops.

If I do decide to go with the small pea stone, do you think during the hot months that the stone would be to hot for there feet?

I do like all of your'e ideas though and considering.....
