Ok. I went to check on my hen because she was off the nest and honking the other morning. There were no eggs anywhere. Whatever
ate them did not even leave a trace. My hen looked ok. My problem now is she is missing again. Would she go out and look for a new nest site that quick?
I am worried about where she is?
    thanks

I should have taken some of the eggs.

Sorry for you loss, my guess would be a snake robbed the nest anything else would have sent her flying .
Don't know about setting up a new nest, never seen chickens, geese or guines do it so quick.
Will be praying for her safe return. [IMG]

Crows have been stealing your peahen eggs? How do they do that? Those eggs are quite large.

Also, praying for the safe return of your peahen, Glenmar.

Awww....so sorry to hear about that [IMG] . I was following your thread, it looked like she had a pretty nice place picked out but something apparently sniffed out the eggs. If I was to guess, I would say raccoon. They are responsible for many very bad things to poultry. Hopefully the hen just took off for a bit but will return. Hope she comes back!
