Tipplers were bred to fly in endurance flight competitions. For example, one was recorded to fly for a straight 22 hours. These are not the same as homers, who are raised for flight, but are released at a distance to fly back home.

We also have Rollers, which do not have a homing instinct. They are performing birds that do flips in the air.

Day 3 You can already see some growth and it will open its eyes today, although the pictures don't show that too well. You can see crop milk in its gizzard that takes up almost a half of its body.

By gosh that baby is sooo ugly , I LOVE IT .. Baby birds are so funny looking when there born . I remmber raising love birds and such and they always looked like little ailens at one point or another.
Do these guys make good pets.

Day 6

Baby has gotten HUGE over the last few days and is getting darker in color. Feather shafts are starting to come in, fuzz is disappearing, and its wings are growing. Half of its body is gizzard (see last picture). Still has stubby legs at this point.
