For a couple of years, now, I've been reading about `saddle's, etc. So, it seems, the distaff contingent of the flock garners the most attention when utilitarian fashion is discussed, or proposed.

Well, no more! Yes, when the temp. plummets, the wind howls, and the humidity level just won't drop, discriminating roos will demand no less than a "0-3 month Baby Mitten"????

You bet. Yes, Roodawg is `demoing' a prototype (color not predator neutral - the little cuff not sewn up so it won't interfere with the eyeballing of hawks), but after-market tailoring should be a breeze, it does stay in place. It would probably be best to fit it on after roosting so the hens won't gossip too much…

So, if your roo is suffering from incipient or realized frostbite, add a little more protection, along with a bit of extremely questionable fashion sense... (wondered what Cass would do with our granddaughter's extra baby clothes).

(Eldridge Cleaver's got nothing on Cass [IMG] - `70's joke, you eggs)

Back for just a minute (was emptying out hoses and battening down). Posted this because of the several frostbite threads recently - so its only kinda tongue-in-cheek. As a matter of fact, when I left the feed store in Columbia at 11:15 the air temp. was 64°, right now it's 16° with snow blowing in a 22-35mph NW wind. I'm thinking Cass might be on to something after all (as usual)

Oh, Roodawg's idea of a `catwalk' is literal: walks on the cat

Maybe embroider something macho on it, like a skull and cross bones!
