I've heard of cats helping hens with their eggs--keeping them warm while the mother is taking a break--blew me away the first time I saw a picture. Maybe it's kitty massage??

He's on the kitchen counter. I need to wash that cutting board, garlic powder and pepper all over. But he's STILL on the eggs!

He is a rescue cat from 6 months old - he is now 17 or so, his name is Cheddar.

ETA, I do NOT normally allow cats on counters, but Cheddar is an old man and I make allowances for slipping gears!

I LOVE this picture!!! I LOVE Cheddar. And never mind about him being on the counter -- Hood God, people put hats and purses on counters -- cat paws are way cleaner than purses. Bless his little helpful broody heart. Clearly you run a kind and loving home!
