My babies are hatching now. Me and my husband made a homemade incubator and added a thermostat to help regulate it. Works great.

Congrats, what breed is the black chick?

Also, could you share your incubator? I plan on making one in the near future.
The black one is a Barr rock with an amercana rooster mix. I used an igloo cooler and my husband cut a hole in the side for a light fixture. I used a 100 watt bulb with ceramic fixture. I put a thermostat and humidifier monitor on it and ran the small wires under the lid. I put a pan and sponge with some water in it. He build a little rack with wire so the babies couldn’t get near light. It sat over the pan. I put a rag to lay the eggs on and then I could change it as needed. I believe if you google or looked on Pinterest is where I found homemade igloo incubator. But the light plugged into the thermostat and it kept the cooler perfect temp. I had to raise the humidity the last week. Very happy with it
