thermostats on heat hamps?

I saw on a couple threads that some of you have thermostats on your heat lamps and you can set them to a certain degree and they kick on if it drops below. I looked at home depot/ walmart/ace. ect and cant find them. i was wondering where you guys got them from? how much they cost and do they just plug into the light or do you have to wire them,how do they work? can anyone help me out with this?
 
Not sure where people got theirs, but to make the light go on and off via temp, just put the lamp on a circuit in series with a thermostat. The pet store might have such things.
