They FINALLY went inside on their own!!!!

Yippee!! My 6 week old chicks finally went in to the coop on their own for the past two nights, I am so HAPPY

It's funny I tried all the suggestions I read about to teach them to go in- helping them up the ramp, calling them with treats, keeping a light on inside etc. But the one night I forgot to turn the light on before it got dark they all went in! It was still 30 minutes before their door went down and still somewhat light out. Then last night I didn't turn the light on again and sure enough they went in! Apparently my chicks don't like any inside light

Whatever the reason I am just so happy my babies are growing up and catching on to the chicken world

Congrats! I was worried we'd have to do a chicken roundup of our 6 girls every night for a while (I'd heard stories from others), but we only had to do it TWO nights in a row. We went out the third night and they were all in the coop.

They are usually in the coop around 8:30. Now if I could just get them to close & latch the door
