So I got 53 eggs in the mail yesterday, let them set overnight. I rearranged my bators and got all but 4 in (small ones). Is there any harm in setting them on top(of the other eggs) for a few days? I have a force air bator so temp should be uniform everywhere right? I just hate to go make another one when we all know you lose some shipped eggs, not to mention I don't have the space really. I can set a removable wire rack over the other eggs, would that be a better idea?

That's fine til you go to candle the first time on day 7, if you have clears you can remove those and then will have room...That's what I do in my smaller incubator...

You can set them on top or along a side if there is a turner....

I agree with TuffOldHen, a removable wire rack would be best, but you can even stack them on top of each other for a few days. I have had to do it and have not noticed a decrease in hatchs or fertility.

GREAT, that eases my mind. I figured I couldn't be the first to get too many eggs
