I had just had some of my chicks out about an hour or so ago. Everything was fine in the brooder when I put them back in. So about 30 minutes ago one of them starts crying. After looking in briefly, thought it was just one of those things. Then more start crying, so I took a closer look. They had FILLED the water dish with shavings in less than 30 minutes! So now it's elevated and it 's sides are already about 2 inches high. See how long it takes them this time![IMG]

when my girls were babies - I would take them out to clean the brooder and make it all nice and clean and fresh - filled the water, the feeder carefully put them back in all proud of myself for giving them a nice clean home - within minutes they would poop every where and kick the shavings all over the place [IMG]

oh well i guess that is half the fun
