1. Come check out hundreds of awesome coop pages (and a few that need suggestions) in our 2018 Coop Rating Project!

They've been outside since 2 weeks and it's winter!

Just before they turned 2 weeks old I put then out in the coop with a MHP and.....they are still doing well!

SO glad I got them outside, and it took 2 days but they figured out how to get in and out of their "panic pen" on their own. It has been sooooo cold and windy, and they've been wandering around the big girl part of the coop and hiding under the MHP most of the day, so they seem to be monitoring their own temp.

After 2 days of "supervised" visits, I raised up the floor less cage they were in in the coop so they could let themselves in and out, and the 3 big hens seem to pretty much be ignoring the 6 babies. I'm so happy I did this now instead of trying to merge 6 fairly large 2 month Olds with 3 grown hens!

Thanks to everyone that helped me with the MHP! Praying I've set it up good enough for them to stay warm in this cold!
