We had a normal thicker shelled egg the other day, our first one!! Today I went out and there were 2 eggs in their run. They had rubbery, thin shells. How do I get them to lay thicker shelled eggs and lay them in the nesting boxes??

It is not unusual to get funky eggs the first month or so of laying.......soft shelled, thin shelled, double yolkers.

It's always a good idea to have some oyster shells available in a separate feeder to help with calcium needs.......
.....but, again, thin and/or soft shelled eggs are not unusual at first.. so be patient.

Put some fake eggs/golf balls in the nests to entice them to lay there.
