Rosie, would walk off from the flock and make different clucking sounds than she did before. Actually, she got very vocal....and would follow me around. One day I put my hand down and it happened......the squat that I was told cannot miss it....It seems like it was about 3 days later, that she laid her 1st egg. It was about 10 days ago and she has laid an egg everyday since. Well Done, Rosie!

Good info to have! I have some 16 to 18 week old pullets so what to look for is helpful. How old was your chick that laid the egg? Was it soft shelled like is often the case with first time eggs?
