All The eggs were growing good . When I put them in lockdown I put the other vent plug in not realizing it would affect the humidity. ( little giant ) Out of 18 eggs i've only got 2 to hatch. Another egg was rocking but nothing yet. I'm so upset. I guess that's what a newbie does . Next time I hatch i will try the dry hatch method. I live in virginia so maybe the humidity in the air is already enough. I will keep you posted on the babies.

what did the humidity go to? You need it high for lock down - I did the same thing - I went into lock down & couldn't get the humidity above 50%. Killed 3/4 of them.

why did you put the plug in?I mean, what did you think you were putting it in for ?

many times an egg will go the whole way and then just not hatch.. that is not unusual.. survival of the fittest starts very early..

I have had the best luck with 60% humidity at hatch time..

do not go "dry" hatch during lockdown..or you will end up with sticky chicks..guaranteed.. then when they die, it will be your fault..
