Thirsty Chicken

Buffy is drinking lots of water and not wanting to eat. She is passing a massive amount of water. She is perky and happy. I have her on vitamins, electolytes and probiotic. Any suggestions?

I believe excessive thirst is often a sign of worms. There are lots of posts on BYC regarding de-worming chickens. Good luck!

Did you ever find an answer to why Buffy was drinking so much? I have a hen with a similar problem. Her drinking started after worming, and she doesn't act sick. I've given yogurt and buttermilk.

Sorry, I just saw this. No I did not. I took her to the vet. She got antibiotic injections for 3 days and a B12 shot. She was better within 48 hours. She is fine now. Ive had others dying on me for some reason.
