This Barred Rock is a Hen, Right?

She(?) is about 17 weeks old. No crowing, but no egg laying. I'm getting a bit worried with how big her comb is already, but it was small and pale until around 15 weeks and then it just got huge. She is definitely the lead hen, and lets my dog and the neighbors dog know if they've gotten too close for comfort. I bought her as a sexed chick from Tractor Supply when she was a few days old.

In my opinion, she's definitely a pullet and will probably be laying very soon.

Oh I really hope so! I was thinking that was what it was, but she hasn't squatted for me (one of the others has started) and showed no interest in the nest boxes so I started second guessing myself. Thank you!

Yep, she's a pullet hitting point of lay. I'm betting eggs within a month from her

Look what I found yesterday!! MY FIRST EGG!!! It was on the floor next to the water dish, silly girl. Today's egg was in the box though! Yess! Both are very speckled.

I'm honestly not sure if it's the Barred Rock's in the pic, or my RSL who's been squatting for me for about a week...
