We have been raising this meat bird since late summer. Today it will be processed.
We got hungry. The Ham was too small for the 4 of us. So we decided to go ahead and have this chciken for a late thansgiving dinner. It is in the rotiserie as I type. When it is done I will post a pic of the final results. We are guessing 7 to 8 pounds. I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!
Good luck! If you butchered this morning, I hope it has aged enough to be able to bite into!
I hope so tooo.
So how was it?
Still cooking. I will post pic when it is done.
Good luck eating that bird. I just can't eat anything I raise.
I have only eaten 3 others that we raised. I helped in the cleaning of the birds and it was not so bad. They taste very good and I feel pride that I was able to raise food for my family.
So.......How did it taste?
Please let me know....We are scheduled for a family dinner Saturday and wea re going to take some of the birds that we processed last week.
