we're getting an egg a day from each bird, rir's. they started early by about two months by our basic count. we've always had one bird which lays larger eggs than the rest, but this mornings collection uncovered a monster.
can't get over the size of this one, larger than the rest she's layed. can't come close to closing the box up. take a look!

    wow.

the extra large egg I get occasionally is never that big, but the color is the same - I guess now I can give sympathies to my RIR.
    Poor girls.

Quote:That is exactly what I think each morning when I hear my girls screaching .... They remind me every morning to take my pill ![IMG][IMG] Yet another reason the get chickens . Plus they are like my babies minus the whole midnight feeding thing:rolleyes: , and diapers .

[IMG] Poor bird. My girls have started out with mostly double yokers but nothing like that! I wonder if it could be one od those eggs inside another egg [IMG]
