    The last few days I have been thinking about how the people several hundred years ago fed their birds. I have been feeding them different weeds, berries, even some old cereal I didn't eat. If we could no longer buy chicken food what could we feed them.

    Mine went crazy over the fallen cherries and mulberries last summer. I still have awhile to wait for them here. My chickens stole every strawberry off the plant before I got a chance to eat any. LOL I didn't mind cause it made them happy.

    my hands are soooo stained, they will be purple for a week.
