    [​IMG] I went outside today and one of my hens ate a feather! why would she do this? They have food and water .

    (I'm no chicken shrink, but...) Maybe she was curious? I think mine have done the same, once or twice.I saw no ill effects.

    I saw mine doing this and starting giving them scrambled eggs and more meat scraps(just a few times a week), and they have since stopped. I'm thinking about gathering the feathers they shed and making pillows....has anybody tried this?
