This is Winky. Hatched March 4 so 9 weeks old. Bought at local country feed store directly from hatchery rep. Of the four chicks bought together ( RIRed, Brahma, Leghorn) she is the biggest, most curious, friendliest. She is supposed to be a black wyandotte but we were kind of rushed through by the hatchery guy because there was a line of folks. I am wondering if in fact, she is a wyandotte and if she is a rooster in the end. I cannot find any pics of Wyandottes like her. She looks kind of like a barred rock but I see that they seem to have very Yellow legs whereas hers are not as bright and have gray shading on them. She's getting a lot of red shading around eyes and comb and ears. She's really "my" chicken and I would hate for her to be a he, meaning bye-bye since these are suburban chickens! Thoughts?
