Good question. I was playing the "guess that chicken" home game and I thought hen (but I am new at this). So what makes you'all think "Roo"?

The big legs and saddle feathers say roo. What is that - a silkie cross?

My guess is roo due to his large pea comb. The hens are usually more dainty--but that is just a guess.
