This mama hen won't send her chicks away, at 7 weeks now (pics)

Haha - so great to hear everyone's stories. So funny that even chicken moms have a hard time letting go sometimes.

BTW, in the first picture it does look like a "mini-me" but these chickens aren't even related - I didn't have a rooster and bought some barnyard mix eggs - 5 hatched out of 6.

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy's baby, TG is getting close to 2-3 m/o and he still follows her around sleeps under her...

My broody will start to peck at the chicks at about 2.5 months old over food. They get the hint and break the bond

This was just before she decided they were old enough to fend for themselves. These hatched last Nov just before the holiday ... there were 16.
