So I was at the grocery store and in the veggie section they had these packages of corn on the cob that were only about 2 inches long. Eight came in a package so I bought two packages thinking they would be a great treat today for my chicky babies! [IMG]

On the way home I drove through Mc D's for the kids cause it was getting late for lunch.

When I get home my b/f asks where's his lunch. I told him that I just didn't think about him, sorry. [IMG]
I go outside to start bringing in my groceries and the first bag is the corn I bought. Of course as the sound of the bag being messed with all the chickens came running. I then said "I've got something for ya'll, here chik, chik, chik........" [IMG] and just then my b/f comes out to help me bring in the groceries and he sees me opening the package of corn for the chickens, he stops short and says, [IMG] "nuh uh! You brought the chickens something to eat and not me??? You specifically bought corn on the cob that no one else is going to eat, just for those stinking chickens and you FORGOT about bringing me lunch????" I couldn't help giggling at the irony! [IMG] I think it's hilarious! Now he's walking around saying how hungry he is and sulking saying "I guess I'll go sit on the porch and waste away!!" [IMG]
I started to explain that everytime I ask him if he wants something to eat he always says no so......and he cuts me off and says that he didn't mind too much that I FORGOT his lunch until he realized that the chickens were thought of before him and he doesn't like coming in second to chickens. I just laughed harder! [IMG]

(Just so ya'll know, he's just joking and giving me a hard time. Thought I'd say that cause sometimes when you read things like this the true emotion doesn't come accross.)

Tell your BF he's not alone, I make this wonderful bowl of food everyday for the girls and leave it on the counter to add stuff to it as the day goes on. Some days I just don't feel like cooking so I make my DH a can of soup or tell him to make himself something to eat...that's usually when he sees the chickens bowl of salad, greens, yummy stuff and gets a "tude" about it....all in good fun of course.

you can always tell him that the better the chickens eat the better the eggs will be - I told DH this and he just gave me that look of " yea right "

yeah, he had to run to the hardware store for an outlet he's fixing, so he came in to tell me he was leaving and he says, "I guess I'll get me something to eat since I'm starving to death!" he's a riot! [IMG]

I said, Yeah? You should try Mc D's, the kids love it! [IMG]

DH came home the other day and I hadn't even thought about his supper yet. He walks to the back door and sees a plate of scrambled eggs out on the deck. He said what is that for. I told him I scrambled some eggs and DE for the cats, the dog and the chickens. He didn't like that I was feeding the animals scambled eggs and his supper wasn't even thought about yet. [IMG]

My DH is constantly telling me he wants to come back in his next life as one of my pets. Me dogs sleep in bed with me and have their own pillows and have to be tucked under the covers. All my babies are thought of before even my kids. They get fed first, and pottied first, tucked in first etc.
