S/he is about 9 weeks old. Don't see any cockeral signs but you know how those silkies etc can go...

Thinking about keeping this one just because I love the red head.

I know I am weeding out my "mutt" chickens but am sooooo tempted to keep her. My son has hair that color so I think I'm partial...

How cute is that. My silkieXd'uccle cross lookes like a partridge silkie with a straight comb.

This is what the other 4 look like. I was assuming they were from the d'uccles because of the vulture hocks, maybe they have cochin mamas? My frizzled cochins have about 1/4 silkie in them but they are barred and blue...

You are right now that I think about it - should have had straight combs. Hmmm

Here's my silkie d'uccle X. Mine's definitely a roo. He was just starting to try to crow tonight when I was tucking everyone in. His mom is a buff silkie and dad is a porcelain d'uccle. He's such a dang cute little guy, we figured we could put up with one more roo. We've been calling him 'Spike' because he's got four our five feathers that stick up on his head. I LOVE the hairdo on yours! I'm not sure what to think of his comb. It's kind of halfway between the silkies and the d'uccles'. (The cochin is his 'foster' mom.)
