thought this was a barred rock, but???

This chicken is from Ideal Poultry and part of a pullet surprise, I received it June 26 as a day old chick. Thought it was a barred rock from day one. Notice anything odd? Well, white earlobe, no butt seems odd to me.

I confused! Of course I also thought I had BO until I saw white earlobes and realized they were buff minorcas.

That's a white egg-layer and most likely a production black line specific to ideal poultry. (BUT I am just guessing) If it is a female, you'll get loads of white eggs. Females are barred darker than males. Good luck

not a barred holland, they lay white eggs, but per breed id they do not have white earlobes, one of the only chickens that this occurs in.

She is Production Black-barred Leghorn tipe white egglayer.They differ from Holands in body tipe and have white earlobes.Holands have red.
