I'm Young but have a dying passion for something that is out of my reach...Chickens. I've loved them for as long as I can remember and will always have a spot for them in my heart. Unfortunately chickens are illegal in Throop PA, Were I live and grew up in. I hate the fact that they have such a stupid law...I mean I'm allowed to have a parrot that can be heard from three houses down why not a hen that can't even be heard from inside MY house? If I can find a way to change this law I'll need all the help I can get! Hope I can get some help from you guys!

Well what kind off area do you live in? If you live in a busy populated area and don't own much land forget about it.
If you have a few acres then try.

Quote:Try to get your cities anti-chicken bylaws changed. On this site, there is some good advice about where to look for those local bylaws, and how you might try to get them changed. Start by finding the specific blaws or codes that prohibit the chickens in your city, then contact that office, and find out who you need to contact to try to appeal or change that bylaw or code. In my city, the anti chicken rules are in the cities bylaws, and to change them you start by writing to the Mayor and City Council. Good luck, and there really is help here, you'll just need to dig through the site a bit.

Yay chickens and the people who love them!
