    we got our day old babies oct 3, any guess when we might see the first egg? the suspense is killing us but i think it might still be a while. barred rocks, buff orpington, ameraucanas and a wyandotte...lovely girls, they are!

    also any tips for making them comfortable and encouraging them to lay. this is our first time with chickens.

    I'm gonna say 22 - 26 weeks on the bigger girls BO, Wyandotte and BR.

    And when it gets close to laying time you can put golf balls or fake eggs in the boxes to help them along. [​IMG]
