As some of you already know I have a new batch of chicks about 2 weeks old. 2 EE, 2 SLW, 2 BO, & 2 Brahma. They are growing like crazy, especially the EEs. One of the Brahma stood out amongst the whole group right away as a crazy little daredevil so she got named DeeDee. The other Brahma always sits in the corner (DoDo). I go out and feed them from my hand to hopefully bond with them. Today DeeDee was sitting in the corner too. She eventually came around and fought for a palm feeding position with the others. DoDo is healthy. She eats, drinks and poops and if one gets in her face enough, she’ll fight back. So I don’t think anything is physically wrong. Are Brahma a more timid breed or does she just fall low in a very early pecking order?

Yep. I started giving her extra attention but then I spied on her. I can watch them from the side of the brooder. As soon as I close the top she starts hanging with the others like normal. Sneaky, crafty chicks. They start early.
