Found this tiny egg in the nesting box today. What causes this?[IMG]

    I'll be in the barn!
We call them "fart eggs" because they come out along with anotheanother egg (or without) before it is fully developed. :)

We have had tiny eggs but only when they were laying for the first time. I have not experienced what CL200 described. Sounds like a neat phenomenon

Tiny or miniature eggs, that come from a non-bantam breed, are known as “Cock Egg’s”. They form when a piece of tissue enters the Oviduct and triggers the formation of an egg.
