Tiny Silkie egg VERY ODD!

I went out this morning to check on my silkie chickens to check for eggs since I am gathering them to set her. She has never layed lanything like this before. It was smaller then a birds eggs same color as all her eggs are but TINY i brought it in and cracked it open the shell was nice and hard like it should be I found inside alot of the egg white but only a small dot of yolk. Is this normal is there somthign she is lacking she laid a perfect egg yesterday. Is this just somthing happens or does she need somthing? Plz any info would be good!

It's commonly referred to as a fairy egg. They sometimes misfire and lay one with no yolk. I have a geriatric hen that does it fairly frequently. The next time you get one, just leave it out in a dish. Since there is no yolk, it won't go rotton. It will just eventually dry out and make a nice little conversation piece.
