I have had these chickens since August 2009. I purchased them from someone trying to get rid of their chickens, at that time she told me they were Silkies and Sumatras. As this was my first time purchasing chickens I didn't know one from another. Well I know now that none of these are Silkies but I think she did get the Sumatras right ( #'s 6,7,8,9). So I am turning to my new friends on BYC for their input on what breeds these may be...[IMG]

#6 looks like some kind of game bird. #7 - does she really have black comb/waddles? Awhile back someone posted about a bird called a Ceyami that is ALL black - it was pretty cool looking but they are super rare. I'm not sure they're even available in the US. I don't know anything about Sumatra's but perhaps since they're from the same part of the world, they have similar traits.

Whoever you got them from certainly was either highly misinformed herself, or else completely full of poop. lol

From the angle of the pic, #3 looks like it might have some Japanese bantam in it by the body carriage?

Does #4 have feathered legs? If so it looks kinda like a Langshan. If not, nevermind. lol
