My 3 year old barred rock seems to have a broken toe On her right foot. It’s the middle toe and in the middle of the toe, possibly where the joint is located. I noticed it yesterday and it doesn’t seem to bother her much, perhaps a slight limp but hard to tell. The middle of the toe is swollen and warm to the touch. I have read on here advise to splint or bandage or leave alone with conflicting thoughts SO I was wondering if anyone’s chicken has had a similar injury, what you did, and if it helped or not. I also read in an old post that a broken toe always falls off- I really hope that’s NOT true! The skin is intact.
To compare, here is her other foot too. Her middle toes on both feet have always curved inward.
