to brood or not to brood that is my newbie question.

    ok so im getting (hopefully:fl) five, month old silkie chicks, should i still put them in a brooder?

    Quote:Yes. Most regular chicks need extra heat til they are fully feathered at around 8-10 weeks. Silkies are more delicate. Read: pain in the butt chickens. I would brood them til 10 weeks at a minimum.
