To clip or not to clip their wings? How?

When my chickens get scared, they fly over my fence and it's very difficult to get them back!

If you can't cover the run than clip one wing and see if it helps, before clipping both, be aware the feathers won't be replaced until after a molt, and sometimes they can have trouble getting up to roosts and nestboxes if both are clipped.

Never did think of doing just one wing. Thank you for letting me know.

Clipping only one creates a inbalance, if they try to fly too far the fly in a circle but they still can hop fly short distances like up on roosts.
