Hi all,
I keep a small flock of rare breeds in North Yorkshire, UK. My flock includes a rare Reeves pheasant and 5 Lavender guinea fowl. They all get on really well, although the Reeves pheasant is now being aggressed by the male guinea fowl. Reevy never aggresses the rest of the flock, so we have to look after him. He will see off wild pheasants from 'his territory'. I do appreciate being part of this community. What I love is to look after birds. I never knew before I started what a close relationship you can have with a bird. Some of the hens will perch on your shoulder or on your hat!
